DESCRIPTION
The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society invites the public to a Zoom presentation on Wednesday, February 9th at 7:00 pm. After a brief business meeting, Dr Doug MacDonald will present, "Before Yellowstone: 11,000 Years of Native Americans in the National Park.". This talk will be recorded. Since 2006, Doug MacDonald has been an archaeologist in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Montana, Missoula. His primary area of research is the Native American archaeology of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming and Montana. MacDonald has written five books, including Before Yellowstone, which was published in 2018 by the University of Washington Press and describes the 11,000 year-long history of Native Americans in Yellowstone.
