The City of Durango Parks and Recreation Department invites community members to attend the 42nd Annual Arbor Day Celebration to help plant trees in the park for Arbor Day.

Please join the City of Durango Forestry Department staff to beautify the park with trees. There will be a presentation on the many benefits of trees, the Arbor Day Proclamation will be read and a local forester will be in attendance to answer questions. The public is invited to attend this free celebration and to learn more about how the city manages our Urban Forest.

Please bring a rain jacket in case of inclement weather, this is a rain or shine event. There will be a tent set up and another small shelter at the park nearby. Please wear boots that can get muddy and bring a water bottle.
