The annual VFW Sponsored Youth Fishing Derby! VFW members will be on site at the Hatchery from 10:00AM - 1:00PM. Youths wanting to fish should register at the Fish Hatchery Office starting at 10:30 AM. The Fishing Derby ends at 1:30PM. All poles, reels, bait, etc. will be provided and there will be instruction and games for those participating in the event. 7 to 12 year old youths will fish in the Huck Finn Pond. Youths older than 12 years will be sent to the river. This is the 125th year anniversary for the Colorado Fish and Game and they will provide all participants with food as part of the fun. Volunteers are needed to clear brush around the Pond on Saturday and volunteers are needed to serve food to the fishermen on Sunday. Any Donations given to the event will help support the Fish and Game Museum.
