Imagine for a moment that next early spring you look out your window after a long, cold winter and your yard is alight with color, color from the bulbs you planted last fall. Bulbs are perhaps the most underutilized plant in all of our gardens… but they don't have to be. The Durango Botanic Garden's annual bulb sale is coming soon. Buy bulbs in the summer? Yes, it's the perfect time to order your bulbs and pick them up in the fall. October is the ideal time to plant bulbs in SW Colorado. Bulbs are easy to grow and return year after year.

The Durango Botanic Gardens Annual Bulb Sale will once again be conducted online. Almost 50 types of bulbs will be available to order. The Bulb Sale preview opens on July 22 on the Botanic Gardens' website: www.durangobotanicgardens.org. You will find pictures and descriptions of all the available bulbs to help you plan your garden. The online store will be open August 5 - 16.

Paid orders will be available for pickup mid-October at a variety of locations and times that will be posted on the website.
