Boxes, Branches, and Thread is a collaborative co-creation in real time by over a dozen local visual artists, musicians, and dancers. We offer this living art installation as a unique community experience that will provoke thought, open dialog, and deepen connection.
This immersive, interactive project illuminates the creative cycle of deconstruction and reconstruction. Exploring this theme at a time when many things in the world seem to be falling apart, we're providing the opportunity to grapple with the devastation of disintegration while seeing it as essential to re-envisioning and re-forming a better world and brighter future. To this end, the form of the three-day installation will arise, disintegrate and be recreated simultaneously many times over the duration of the event.
You are invited to come and go at any time that the installation is open. You may participate as witness, observing from anywhere in the space. You may also choose to write or narrate out loud a story about what you are seeing, as a direct contribution to the installation.
This event is offered by donation and no reservation or ticket is required - just come!
