The Durango Adult Education Center is hosting its second annual Fun Run! This is a 5k and 10k run where competitors follow the River Trail in an out-and-back style route. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit our nonprofit Education Center.
This event has a twist to it: competitors can opt to shave off some of their running time by answering multiple-choice quiz questions that reflect what our adult students are learning. Topics include high school level math, science, social studies, and more! Correct answers can change the outcome of the race!
The 5k race is open to both runners and walkers, while kids under 16 run for free! (ideal for ages 10 -15). The 10k is designated for runners only.
Both races start and end at Santa Rita Park, beginning at 8am with the whole event wrapping up around 11am. This event includes a Finishers' Picnic, prizes, and vendor tables!
