Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as a moving meditation. The regular practice of Tai Chi forms can help to improve balance, coordination, focus and much more. Tai Chi is composed of various "postures" strung together into a continuous form. Each part of the form has meaning and value. In this class we begin with warm ups exercises to prepare the body for movement. We then practice individual parts of the form as well as doing exercises to improve our balance. Once learned, we practice the whole form together and then go deeper into the principles that make Tai Chi so unique and effective for improving and maintaining good health.
Denise Lane is a certified Tai Chi instructor, who has been practicing Tai Chi since the 1990's.
