Gnarled Roots is a Jewish zine fest exploring the relationship between diasporic identity and what it means to live on stolen land. The event on will be a showcase including several examples of Jewish zines, diasporic artwork, as well as physical and digital art pieces created in response to our prompt. This event is open for everyone and anyone, either Jewish or non-Jewish, curious about engaging with Jewish identity, displacement and relationship to land.
We will invite all of our guests to participate in a land acknowledgement at 5:45PM to open the space, then visitors will be able to come and go to explore the zines freely.
As soon as you register you will have access to the prompt, detailed submission information, as well as the information for attending either virtually or in-person.
