Thursdays | 6 sessions | 6:00 - 8:30 | Jan 11 - Feb 15 For more information or to register, contact Julia Dengel - please put "Inner Critic" in subject line. $200 for the series with sliding scale.
Join Diamond Approach teacher Julia Dengel for an in-depth exploration of the Inner Critic, that inner voice that judges us, compares us to others, and constrains our capacity for joy and freedom to be ourselves. Through teachings and experiential exercises, we will investigate the origins and function of the Inner Critic, and will learn strategies to reclaim our capacity to be who we are in our depth and power.
Appropriate for insight-oriented adults (young and old) who have felt stymied by their own negative commentary and long for more inner freedom to live fully and authentically. Please commit to attend all six sessions as teachings are cumulative. Let's talk if you need to miss one.
The Diamond Approach is a body of teachings that invites more openness, freedom, and realization of our human potential. The main practice is open-ended inquiry into one's direct experience with curiosity and allowing - which leads to more intimacy with oneself and understanding of one's psychological patterning. These two threads can then unfold, leading to more contact with one's unconditioned, essential nature through understanding the intricacies of one's own conditioning based on personal history.
Philosopher Ken Wilber recommends the Diamond Approach as "the most balanced of the widely available spiritual psychologies/therapies."
