Join us at the museum as Peggy Bergan gives a free presentation about the arborglyphs (literally: tree writings) found in our area. From the late 1800s to the early 1950s, area sheepherders would carve into the delicate aspen bark. The folk art/historic record that remains is endangered due to the lifespan of the trees and the threat of blow-downs and fire. Peggy’s documentation of these carvings and the presentation she created are sure to be fascinating.
