Hailing from Flagstaff, AZ, Slow Turbo is a trio of rock veterans playing a mix of originals and indie/alt-rock covers that you sang in your friend's car when you were in high school. This Memorial Day Weekend, they're stripping down (musically) and playing acoustic versions in intimate venues.
Singer/Songwriter Tony Poer recruited longtime friends Luke Mulligan and Chris Pomeroy (Crooked Numbers) to create this Flagstaff, Arizona Supergroup. Inspired by bands like the Pixies, Pavement, the Strokes, and Foo Fighters, they're re-arranging classic songs to be played on acoustic guitars with percussion and bass. Both Poer and Mulligan will open the show with a short solo set, followed by a performance from the full band. For more information visit www.slowturbo.com.
