Formed out of the open mic scene in Durango CO, Yope is an eccentric genre blending funk-rock-jam fusion band who keeps the energy high and the dance floor moving. The members of Yope steer the improvised atmospheric scape of their jams to places that feel familiar to each of their various influences. Fans of Goose, Phish, RHCP, Ween, Talking Heads, and Black Sabbath will feel right at home at a Yope show. The crowd often leaves with strain in their voices from chanting "Yope is dope!"
