OH, THE PLACES YOU CAN GO…. and PLAY, in Durango Colorado! July is Parks and Recreation month, so let us cherish all that the City of Durango offers for parks and recreation and what your tax dollars have built over the decades in the area open space, trails, parks and all facilities!

Durango Parks and Recreation will hold an Open House at the Durango Community Recreation Center in celebration of Parks and Recreation month with Parks and Recreation booths, some Parks and Recreation's local partner booths, games, prizes and Parks and Recreation swag.

Other activities include: Foam Party on the splash pad at the Recreation Center from 2 - 4 pm, Free Admission to Roller Skating at Chapman Hill Rink from 5 - 7 pm, celebrations during normal classes, adult leagues, Lake Nighthorse, and childcare programs. Additional celebrations consist of FREE Wonderful Wednesday classes for ages 2 - 5, 9:45 - 10:45 am at the Recreation Center, entry fee into the Recreation Center the same as when it opened in 2001, and trivia challenge in the Administrative Office.
