Scenes and descriptive stories about landscapes can be the most evocative pieces of literature to read, but they can also be the hardest to write. In a two-hour workshop with environmental journalist, and author of the books Powder Days and Downriver, Heather Hansman, we'll cover the elements that make descriptive, narrative scenes work well; practice writing exercises; and workshop our own scenes about the places we love and care about.
