Join Diné author and poet Kinsale Drake for a reading of her National Poetry Series-winning debut collection, The Sky Was Once a Dark Blanket, followed by a Q&A moderated by writer Lily Painter (Kiowa/Winnebago) and conversation about working with NDN Girls Book Club. Drake is currently the executive director of the literary nonprofit NDN Girls Book Club, which has distributed 12,000 books by Indigenous authors to Native American families for free in 2024.
