DESCRIPTION
Join San Juan Mountains Association and Mountain Studies Institute to learn about forest ecology, watersheds, climate change, and the future of snowpack in the San Juans by digging snow pits and taking a winter interpretive hike.

Throughout the winter, our education teams will host snowshoe interpretive hikes from 1-3 pm, then welcome you back to parking area for a bonfire, hot drinks, and good conversation.

These popular events are FREE to the public, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Snowshoes will be provided if necessary.
