“A love letter to his rural upbringing, Village Weirdo is an politely irreverent [and very gay] account of what it’s like living, loving, & understanding life in a modern small-town America.”
Doors: 7:00pm | Show: 7:30pm
Tickets: $20
One of Durango's very own, Andy Mathews, has been cracking the Four Corners up for quite some time now. He has headlined his array of jokes in both Denver & Durango, and most recently was voted 'Judges Choice' in the First Annual Stand-Up For Local First showcase; featuring competing comedians from around the Four Corners.
His quick wit, timely delivery, and passionate onstage performances are a requirement for his jokes. Andy uses his life experience to invite audiences of all different identities and journeys in laughing together - both at themselves and the absurd world around them.
From themes of alcoholism & recovery, to sexuality, his vendetta against the male sandal and more – he will lead audiences on an energetic ride of personal storytelling, his outlandish and often irrelevant opinions, and some of the insights he's gained over his time growing up as a young adult falling in love with - and resenting - small town life.
Grab your tickets quick, this is one serious case of local talent.
