The Bike Swap kickoff event will be a Community Ride led by Bike Durango. This ride is open to all bikes and riders regardless of vintage of either. Meet at Rotary Park for the 6:00 pm start - the ride will wind its way to The Bicycle Art Show at The Union Social House for some bicycle comradery - food and drink will be available for purchase. A special Bicycle Art Show featuring Jon Bailey and several artists will be on display at The Union Social House (3062 Main Ave.) – opening Friday July 11th.

Already underway is a Vintage Bicycle Sweepstakes fundraiser benefiting The Silver Stallion non-profit which is dedicated to youth cycling community on the Navajo Nation. The lucky sweepstakes winner will ride away on a 1948 Westfield Columbia Vintage Bicycle. This bike has been professionally restored and generously donated by Bicycle Bob Gregorio and is on display at Maria’s Bookshop. Sweepstakes tickets are available at Maria’s Bookshop for $10 suggested donation.

The 2nd Annual Vintage Bike Swap and Show is set for Saturday July 12th at Rotary Park (1565 E. 2nd Ave.) from 8:00 am till 12:00. Bicycle enthusiasts of all ages are invited to this free event. It’s an educational, fun, and creative opportunity for folks to learn more about the history of the bicycle while trading bikes and parts and collaborating with local businesses.

The rich history of bicycles will be on full display, especially focused on the 100-year history between 1890 – 1990. Bicycle vendors will have booths to display, sell, and trade bicycles and parts.
