Learn about the Olympic sport of biathlon by joining Durango Nordic for a biathlon clinic at the La Plata County Fairgrounds on August 2, 2025. Then test your new skills with a running biathlon race using safe and kid-friendly laser rifles. In addition, learn about all the winter programs Durango Nordic offers.

Schedule of Events
8 AM: Registration/Information
8:30 - 9:30: Intro to Biathlon Clinic & practice with rifles
10:00 - 11:30: Wave start races by age group
11:45: Awards & picnic lunch (BYO)

The races will be one lap around a course at the Fairgrounds, one bout of shooting, another lap, another bout, and a final lap to conclude. There will be a shorter penalty lap for each missed shot.

The cost for adult registration is $10 before 5 PM on August 1 and $15 after 5 PM. There is a race registration fee as well.

Kids under 18 can register for FREE! Minimum age for participation is 8 years old.
