Photographing the Dominguez-Escalante Trail of 1776
Tue, September 23, 2025 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
DESCRIPTION
Kathy Myrick, former executive director of the San Juan Symphony, spent her non-concert weekends for 15 years photographing the 1,700-mile trail blazed by the first white men to explore the Four Corners area. While Escalante’s daily journal focused on food and water sources, Kathy (accompanied by her Aussie Scarlett) aimed to capture the majestic mountains, monuments, waterways, and wildflowers that the intrepid explorers would have encountered 250 years ago.
