The Fort Lewis College Jazz Ensemble takes the stage for an exciting evening of big band music. The program features Darren W. Jenkins' funky Shark Sandwich alongside Count Basie Orchestra classics, including Corner Pocket, Splanky, and the iconic April in Paris, presented in a fresh arrangement by renowned composer and arranger Bob Mintzer. The ensemble will also showcase Frank Mantooth’s vibrant take on the jazz standard On Green Dolphin Street. With driving rhythms, soulful solos, and a celebration of the big band tradition, this concert is not to be missed!
