Join us for the grand opening of The Durango Collective, a new community dance and event space in downtown Durango, created to support connection, creativity, and celebration.

This evening is an open-house style celebration welcoming the broader Durango community into the space for the first time. The Durango Collective is operated by West Slope Westies, a local nonprofit dance community, and serves as both our home and a shared gathering space for artists, instructors, families, and organizations across the region. The event is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and welcoming. Guests are encouraged to come and go throughout the evening, explore the space, meet community members, and enjoy short dance demos and interactive experiences.

6:00 PM
Doors open, opening remarks, and taco bar opens

6:15–7:30 PM
Rolling studio tours and informal dance demos throughout the space

7:30–8:30 PM
Social dancing and open movement time with instructors available to answer questions

8:30 PM onward
Community connection, conversation, and celebration Guests are welcome to attend for as long or as short as they like.

Suggested Donation
This is a community-supported event with a suggested donation of $10–$25. Donations directly support the build-out, programming, and accessibility initiatives of The Durango Collective and West Slope Westies.

About The Durango Collective
The Durango Collective is a flexible movement and event space designed for dance classes, workshops, rehearsals, celebrations, and community gatherings. From weekly classes and pop-ups to birthdays, weddings, and creative events, the space adapts to the needs of the community it serves.

The Durango Collective is operated by West Slope Westies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building inclusive, accessible dance and movement communities in the Four Corners region.
