Get ready for the annual Cowboy Concert on the Mountain sponsored by the Durango Cowboy Gathering. The event takes place at the historic Steward Ranch located at the end of Lightner Creek Road where scenes from the movie City Slickers were filmed. The Timberline Cowboys and Lindy Simmons will be back as featured performers. The Timberline Cowboys, J. Michael Mullins and Geary Parsons, have an unmistakable chemistry and an ability to blend cowboy lore, humor, & romance into their music. Mike’s original song, “Drivin’ This Herd to the Rail” won the 2024 IWMA Working Cowboy Song of the Year. Lindy Simmons won the IWMA Cowboy Poetry contest in 2021.
