Mushroom Hunt and Cooking Demonstration Durango Mountain Resort is home to hundreds of varieties of mushrooms and August is the prime time for mushroom hunting on the mountain where you’ll find chanterelle, boletus, oysters and more. Our Mushroom Hunt and Cooking Demonstration includes a guided hike by Chris Ricci, owner of Majesty Mushrooms, an organic mushroom grow house in Cortez, who will educate you on how to find and identify edible mushrooms in the wild. After your hike, you will be treated to a mushroom cooking demonstration and boxed lunch at Dante’s.
