Celebrate Animas City, the town that pre-dated Durango, on our first ever Animas City Day. Activities will be centered at the museum, but explore the area of former Animas City. Now known as north Durango, Animas City was founded in 1876 and has a rich history that is all its own. We will celebrate that history with a variety of family activities. That same day, we will host the Animas City School Reunion. If you attended school in the building that now houses the museum, be sure to let us know your contact information so we can keep you posted about this special occasion.
