Durango DOT Comedy sprang from the fertile loins of the eternal Spitting Nonsense Improvisation group. Jonathan Hunt, Darrin Stevens and Michael Jordan formed Durango DOT Comedy based on mutual creative energy and beer from SKA brewery.
Years later we are now filling theaters with fans who love our creative Menu shows and the Bucket of death (not to mention SKA beer).
Durango DOT Comedy is a free form improvisation group that creates comedy through improvisation games. With suggestions from the audience like “Your at a car wash†or “Why don’t you try acting for a change†we weave a theatrical scene that keeps you rolling in your seat (the free SKA beer helps).
Our style and format are likened to Who’s line is it anyway, Second City and Charlie’s Angels (Mike being more like Farrah than her cheap replacement Cheryl Tiegs). We have participated in workshops with Second City as well as hosted workshops for local High Schools and Businesses. As members of the community, we have also performed benefit shows for causes ranging from Hurricane Relief and a local Kids To Space Camp program.
