Tai Chi for Fall Prevention - Beginner level
Thursdays | 9:00 - 10:00am | Tai Chi employs slow, gentle movements for improving strength, balance and flexibility. In each class we do brief mobility exercises for warming our joints. We then do exercises specific for improving balance. Followed by learning the movements in a tai chi form that you can practice daily.
A new beginner class is forming Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am
NO CLASS Labor day week.
Many studies have been done on the effectiveness of tai chi for everything from improving balance to lowering blood pressure. These studies are based on a regular, daily practice.
There is no fee for this class. The La Plata county Senior Center does gratefully accept donations.
