Beginning Tai Chi - Sun Style
Thursdays | 9:00 - 10:00am | This class was designed to be accessible to all; including those with health conditions, using a walker or in a wheel chair. Tai chi is characterized by slow, controlled, specific movements done with with intention and breath. We start each class by gently warming up our joints. We then practice each movement step by step. Numerous studies have been done on the health benefits of tai chi. These studies have shown that regular practice of tai chi can result in improved balance, blood pressure, flexibility, strength, as well as a decrease in pain and much more.
Certified Instructor, Denise Lane has been practicing tai chi for most of her adult life and is passionate about teaching and sharing it with others.
